Final Portfolio: Final Storyboard

Image
I worked on the storyboard, and here's how the final version turned out:

Final Portfolio: Filming Equipment

Image
Here is all the equipment we are planning on using for the filming process: iPhone 14 Pro: Muhjah's phone, which we will use to film at her house  Digital Camera (DSM-7) Camcorder: Muhjah already owns it and will be used mainly for the behind- the-scene footage. Gimbal: We will rent this to keep the camera steady for crisp footage. Will be used at the farmhouse Video Camera (A7S3-Sony): We will rent this camera for shooting at the farmhouse.

Final Portfolio: Audience Demographics and Psychographics

DEMOGRAPHICS Age and Gender: Primary audience: 24-16 year olds, more likely leaning towards a female audience. This age range aligns with the teenage protagonist, with themes of high school romance and emotional discovery Secondary audience: 23-30 year olds. This audience may connect with the song's musical style and nostalgia for their teenage years and emotions. Gender: Even though the protagonist is female, the themes of relationship struggles and jealousy are universal, appealing to both male and female audiences. Income Level: Lower or mid-range income. This is because the focus is on emotional experiences rather than material wealth. Education:  The themes of coming-of-age and relationship struggles strongly resonate with high school and college students  Geographic Location: Particularly regions with access to streaming services and social media platforms. The song's popularity suggests a broad, international audience.  PSYCHOGRAPHICS Values and Aspirations: Seekin...

Final Portfolio: Planning

Image
The three of us spent one media lesson deciding on potential locations, characters, and budgets for the media project.   Alongside this, we discussed the timings and created a group for all the people who could show up Additionally, we wanted to ensure everyone was comfortable with the timing, so we left it up to them to decide whatever was feasible. In response to the vote, we decided to keep the shoot between 4-7pm.

Final Portfolio: Plot and Genre of the MV

PLOT: The idea of our MV revolves around a young teenage girl who becomes infatuated with a boy from her high school, and slowly spirals out out of control, plunging deep into an unhealthy obsession over this boy. She meets this boy at a small private gathering arranged by her friends. As the story unfolds the audience gains insight into why this girl is so deeply infatuated with the young man.  As the MV progresses the protagonist spirals out of control and slowly loses her senses while hysterically breaking down.  The vibrant, bright lights and misty atmosphere contribute to the hazy and gloomy feel of the song, all while maintaining the feel of electronic music. There's symbolism as some shots display intimate moments between the protagonists private moments in her bedroom. The protagonist's insanity is also depicted through his actions and movements. GENRES: Keeping the plot in mind, the genres include: - Coming-of-age - Heartbreak - Freedom Pin mess

Final Portfolio: Production House Logo

Image
Here is the logo we are planning to stick to for our production house. While it may look basic, we were aiming for something minimalistic and elegant. After playing around with the colours, blue caught our eye the most. The splash of watercolor implies artistry and creativity, which creates a sense of organic creation. The darker shade of blue further exemplifies this feeling. Blue usually evokes feelings of sadness, and splashes are dynamic and energetic. Together, they suggest impact, movement, disruption, and creation. As a whole, the logo embodies our commitment to crafting a visually stunning and emotionally resonant production.

Here is how I envision the aesthetic of our MV:

Final Portfolio: Team Roles and Understanding of my Role

Image
During this call, my teammates and I assigned ourselves specific roles to ensure a smooth-sailing production. The roles are as follows: Muhjah: Aside from being our main actor, she is in charge of handling the cinematography, visual style, and shot composition, as well as ensuring precise camera work during the filming process. Dua: Takes on the role of production coordinator, managing the logistics (location scouting, schedules, props, and timing). My role: I will be the creative director in charge of scriptwriting, storyboarding, and narrative development while editing and shaping the storyline and dialogues.  This division of roles allows us all to focus on our strengths, which ensures effective management and collaboration, making the entire process more productive and efficient.
